By on January 19, 2016

From the St. Louis Business Journal:  More than 300 business people attended the Business Journal’s State of St. Louis discussion Friday morning at the Marriott Grand Hotel downtown, which focused on the themes of business development, education, the region’s image and race relations.

While The Business Journal traditionally has invited area political leaders to lead the annual forum, this year a panel of local business leaders took the stage: Deaconess Foundation President and CEO Starsky Wilson, St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission President Kitty Ratcliffe, Bi-State Development President and CEO John Nations and St. Louis Public School Associate Superintendent for Early Childhood and Elementary Superintendent Zone Schools Paula Knight. Knight stepped in for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis President Flint Fowler who was ill.

The event was sponsored by Boeing, the Regional Business Council and the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36.
