VIDEO: See New Stage at Muny in Forest Park Built in 20 Seconds

The tower crane came down May 3 on the extremely tight jobsite for the new stage and other improvements being constructed in at The Muny in Forest Park. The $20 million project is being completed in time for the Muny’s 101st season, which will open June 10 with “Guys and Dolls”.

Work began in 2018 at the conclusion of the centennial summer season. Renovations included two new towers framing the stage, a new light bridge, an expanded orchestra pit and new production staging areas.

The team also also constructed a full basement, new electrical and mechanical systems, a new VIP room and new elevators, restrooms, locker rooms and general storage.

The general contractor Tarlton is working with H3 architects, New York. Tarlton has constructed a number of projects for The Muny over the last 20 years.
