Post Holdings Plots St. Louis Expansion With New Corporate Office

By on November 7, 2018

From St. Louis Business Journal:  Post Holdings Inc. (NYSE: POST) has closed on the purchase of a 3.6-acre site that will serve as a corporate office for the consumer packaged goods company.

Post, one of the largest public companies in St. Louis, acquired the Envelope Manufacturing Co. building at 200 Hanley Industrial Court for about $2.9 million. Marketing materials for the building, which has been vacant for several years, had shown a list price of $3.84 million.

The site consists of three buildings totaling nearly 70,000 square feet, mostly warehouse space. Post intends to demolish two of the buildings to make way for a new three-story, 48,000-square-foot office building that will link to an existing 12,000-square-foot building and a 123-stall parking lot, according to plans filed with the city of Brentwood.

Brentwood approved the company’s request to rezone the property from light industrial to planned development for the new office in September. It’s believed this development will supplement the company’s headquarters at 2503 S. Hanley Road, which sits about one-third of a mile from the new site.

The company declined to comment.

IMEG Corp., Remiger Design and DG2 Design have been tapped for the project, plans show. Real estate sources say the development could cost anywhere from $15 million to $25 million.

Intelica CRE Principal Dan Merlo represented Envelope Manufacturing Co. in the sale.
