By on December 30, 2015

Microgrid Energy, a developer and installer of solar projects based in St. Louis, has expanded with a new office in Denver.

Kacie Peters, Microgrid’s sales director, and Mat Elmore, formerly of Elevate Energy, are leading the office, located at 1536 Wynkoop St., Suite 427, with an email address of denver@microgridenergy.com.

The company’s solar operations are branded as Microgrid Solar.

The company plans to capitalize on Colorado’s forthcoming “Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy” program, in which businesses can pay for energy efficiency projects up front and repay loans over 20 years via money saved through lower utility bills. The program is set to fully launch early 2016.

“The COPACE program is one of the most progressive in the country, and our whole team is excited about the opportunities in this region,” said Microgrid Energy CEO, Rick Hunter, in a statement. “We’ve seen PACE revolutionize the commercial market for solar and efficiency, and we’re proud to be bringing our expertise here full time.”
