On behalf of the Home Builders Charitable Foundation (HBCF), 2018 HBA President Dale Black of CMS Homes (left) presented a $15,000 donation to Karen Grant, fundraising manager for FamilyForward.

The donation will be used to repair and improve the nurses’ station in FamilyForward’s Brentwood Children’s Home. FamilyForward nurses care for non-ambulatory children with significant medical needs and developmental disabilities often due to early childhood trauma from abuse or neglect. The organization operates two homes, one in St. Charles and one in Brentwood, and is the only 24/7 provider for the long-term residential and respite care of children, ages birth to 21 years. Its mission is to move vulnerable children in the direction of hope by delivering comprehensive therapeutic and educational services to support biological, foster and adoptive families.

The HBA is a local trade association of more than 600 member firms representing the residential construction industry. The Home Builders Charitable Foundation, the HBA’s charitable arm, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing assistance to people or organizations with special shelter needs.
