The 2018 International Building Code (IBC) references TMS 216.1-14, Standard Method for Determining Fire Resistance of Concrete and Masonry Assemblies and TMS 302-12, Standard Method for Determining Sound Transmission Class Rating for Masonry Walls.

Join Nick Lang for an overview of these two standards, including their development, relationship to the IBC, key updates from previous versions, and using the standards to calculate fire resistance and sound ratings of masonry assemblies.

Architectural, Engineering and Code Official Seminars

Seminars are held monthly at the St. Louis Masonry Center from September through May unless otherwise noted.  

Seminars are from Noon to 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted and include complementary lunch and soft drinks.  

Unless otherwise indicated, seminars provide 1.0 hours of AIA HSW credits and satisfy state professional development hours (PDH) requirements for Architectural and Engineering licensure.
