CMU Update: Configurations, Strengths, & Code Changes

Tuesday, November 13, 2018
Noon – 1:00pm

Nicholas R. Lang
National Concrete Masonry Association

There have been significant changes to CMU codes and standards over the past several years. With local  adoption of the 2018 IBC, these changes will provide structural designers with new CMU design options.

Join Nick Lang as he explores these changes including CMU evolution, ASTM C90 requirements, changes to compressive strengths, updates to design provisions contained in the TMS 402 and 602, and how these changes impact resulting designs and properties of concrete masonry assemblies.
