From St. Louis Business Journal:  Concordia Seminary has plans to renovate a building formerly used as student housing into apartments.

The 10,146-square-foot property, located at 6701 San Bonita Ave., has been vacant since June and held 12 student housing units. The number of apartments the building will have following renovation is still to be determined, but Concordia officials told the Business Journal it will likely include six to 12 units.

According to plans submitted to the city of Clayton, the Lutheran seminary also intends to combine the existing building with two other lots to meet city zoning regulations requiring two off-street parking spaces for each unit. Plans call for consolidating lots at 6641 San Bonita Ave., currently vacant, and 6645 San Bonita Ave., which has a paved access drive to the Concordia campus, with the 6701 San Bonita Ave. property. The combined lot will total 22,946 square feet.

On Monday (Nov. 5), the Clayton Plan Commission voted to recommend approval of the lot consolidation to the Board of Aldermen.
