$24M ‘Jewel Box’ Residential Development Underway in Chesterfield

By on December 6, 2018

From St. Louis Business Journal:  Custom homebuilder Hardesty Homes has completed the first homes of its $24 million, 37-home Grand Reserve development in Chesterfield.

Hardesty Managing Member Brett Hardesty said his company acquired the parcels for the development, which is located off Olive Boulevard, in late 2017. The homebuilder broke ground on the project earlier this year. Seven of the 37 lots have sold and three completed homes are currently occupied, Hardesty said.

The single-family homes being built as part of the Grand Reserve development have what Hardesty described as a “jewel box” design. He said the homes have a smaller footprint aimed at appealing to empty nesters looking to downsize.

“It’s designed for mom and dad whose kids are now grown and they live in the big McMansions all throughout Chesterfield and Wildwood. They want to design a house for themselves,” Hardesty said.

Available floor plans include ranch and 1.5-story options ranging from 1,732 to 2,640 square feet. The homes start at the mid-$500,000s and are expected to deliver in late spring 2019, Hardesty said.
