$11M Condo Development Proposed for Clayton

By on November 1, 2018

From St. Louis Business Journal:  An 18-unit, $11 million condominium development has been proposed near Clayton High School.

Plans submitted with the city of Clayton show the developer is looking to build two nine-unit condominium buildings at 43-55 Topton Way. The project is being spearheaded by the Mehlman family, and Topton Condominiums LLC is developer on the project. Mark Mehlman, manager of Mark S. Mehlman Homes LLC and of Mehlman Homes Realty LLC, is listed as the developer’s registered agent.

Mehlman developed the 72-unit, $73 million mixed-use Crescent building at 155 Carondelet Plaza in Clayton that was completed in 2008.

Each of the two buildings planned for the Topton Condominiums development will be 3.5 stories and located above an 18-car parking garage. The buildings will have a shared driveway.

The 18 condos will range from 1,750 to 3,000 square feet in size, according to city documents, which show that four existing buildings will need to be demolished to make way for the proposed development. CORE10 Architecture is architect for the project, which is listed as having an estimated cost of $11 million.
